   01. Un-deleting Accidentally Deleted Mail

 1. If you accidentally delete a mail message, it may not be lost forever. Deleted messages are purged from the system nightly. If you are quick about it, you can retreive a deleted mail message.
 

 
 2. Click the View menu in your mailbox.

Choose Show Deleted Items...

 
 3. All the mail messages that you have deleted since the last system purge will appear in your mailbox with trash can icons.
 
 4. Right-click (PC) or Control-click (Mac) on the deleted mail message and choose Undelete.
 
 5. The message will be undeleted and will reappear as a read message in your mailbox.
 
 6. Choose View > Hide Deleted Items to return to a normal maibox view without deleted mail appearing.
 
   02. See Who's Online
 

 

 1. If you want to see who is currently logged in to the FirstClass system, you can click the Who's Online button.
 
 2. A window will appear with a list of users who are currently online.

Users with names in italics do not have chat (instant message) enabled.


 
 03. Spell Check

 1. Before you send a message, click the Spell Check button in the toolbar above the message.
 
 2. The Spell Checker will run through your message, and give you options for replacing the misspelled word. You can also choose to skip the word.

If the Spell Checker doesn't give you any options, you can type in a new spelling and click Replace.


 
 3. Spell Check will replace the misspelled word with the correctly spelled word in your message.
 
 04. Set Up Automatic Spell Check

 1. Click the Preferences button in your toolbar.
 
 2. Choose the Content tab of the Preferences, then the Edit sub-tab.

 

There is an area to set your spell check settings with a series of check boxes.


 
 3. Check the Automatically check on send check box to run spell check every time you send a message.

Spell check will run and upon completion, your message will be sent.

 
 05. Mark Unread Messages as Read

 1. Sometimes there are messages in the Conference that don't pertain to you or that you don't need to read.

You can get rid of the red flag on this messages and mark them as read.


 
 2. Right-click (PC) or Control-click (Mac) on any unread message, and choose Mark as Read.
 
 3. Sometimes, you want to mark all the messages in a conference as read at once. You can do this by choosing Edit > Select All
 4. Then, Right-click (PC) or Control-click (Mac) on any of the messages and choose Mark as Read.
 
 5. You can mark any items within FirstClass as read by using the same steps.
 
 06. Drag and Drop Attachments

 1. Click once on the attachment in your mail message and drag it to the Desktop of your computer.
 
 2. The file will download, and you can use it as you wish.
