   01. What is the Bookmarks Folder?
 
 
 
    The Bookmarks folder is a location for you to store your Internet bookmarks, also called Internet Favorites.

Placing bookmarks (or favorites) in this folder gives you easy access to your list of favorite resources anywhere that you can log in to FirstClass.

 
 
   02. Saving Internet Bookmarks

 1. Open your internet browser of choice (Internet Explorer, Safari, Netscape) and visit the website you wish to bookmark.
 
 2.   Locate the website address (URL) in the browser window.
 
 3.   Open your Bookmarks folder and position the window near the browser window.
 

 
 4.   Drag the address into the Bookmarks window.
 5. The bookmark will appear in the window as a .url file.
 
   03. Renaming Bookmarks
 
 
 1. Right-click (PC) or Control-click (Mac) on the bookmark in your Bookmarks folder.

Choose Rename...
 

 2.   Type in a different name for your bookmark.
 
 3. Press Enter (Return) on your keyboard.
 
   04. Visiting Saved Bookmarks
 
 
 
 1. Open your Bookmarks folder.
 
 2.   Locate the bookmark you wish to visit.
 
 3. Double-click the bookmark, and a browser window will open and connect you to the website.
 
 
   05. Sorting Bookmarks
 
 
 
 1. Open your Bookmarks folder.
 
 2.   Use the sort bar above the bookmarks to reorganize them by name, last modified, etc.

Click on Name or Last Modified to sort the items in ascending or descending order.

 
 
   06. Deleting Bookmarks
 
 
 
 1. Open your Bookmarks folder.
 
 2. Click once on the bookmark you wish to delete.

Press the Delete key on your keyboard,
or click the Delete button  in the toolbar.
